Pullover Achievement

Two months ago I had set myself a goal to do a pullover on a bar.  I was enrolled  in a gymnastic class for two years and attended once a week.  There are different levels.  To move up you need to be able to pass some requirements.  The only thing I was not able to do was a pullover.

My younger brother moved on to the next level two months ago.  Then my mom told me that she would only keep driving me to the class if I made an effort to do a pullover.  I didn't want to quit and I wanted to show my mom that I could reach my goals.  So I took some paper and wrote down my goal:to do a pullover before New Year.  In order to do that, I decided to do pushups, situps, leglifts, rings, and bar.  And I was committed to do that.

So every day, I practiced for thirty minutes.  I was getting stronger than ever, and I felt sure I would reach my goal.  Finally, that day came.  So I did my sets, and, as usually, my mom helped me with a pullover.  All of a sudden, I felt an impulse to try it by myself.  I went to the bar and tried.  I did it!  I tried one more time.  I did it again!  My mom and me looked at each other, laughing and hugging, jumping with excitement.

I was overflowing with happiness.  I felt on top of the world.  I thought it would be nice to set another goal, an even more challenging one, because it feels good when you accomplish a challenging goal.

Red Stripe Belt

Today I got a red stripe belt in tae kwan do.  I started taking Tae Kwan Do classes 2 years ago and I loved it because it teaches self defense, discipline, and good attitude.   There are ten belt levels in Taw Kwan Do.  I just got the seventh.  To get that belt you have to pass a test.  The tests are given every four months.  The last one was on January 5th.  I set a goal for myself to get a red stripe belt at this test.  I practiced two times a week for four months to pass the test.  The hardest and coolest thing is breaking a wooden board, and I did it.  Here is a movie of the test:

My score for the test was 80 out of 100.  When I was about to be given my belt, I was so excited, I felt like I was going to burst.  When I got my belt, I felt a great sense of accomplishment.  I had achieved my goal!  We celebrated my achievement by watching a movie.

Finishing EPGY

Today is a BIG day for me.  I finished 6th grade in EPGY.  EPGY is an advanced mathematical program offered by Stanford University.  When I finished it, I was so excited I skipped down the hallway and yelled the news:  "MOM, I FINISHED THE EPGY!!!"  We celebrated my finishing the EPGY by eating Mom's delicious apple sauce with waffles, and watching the Avatar cartoon.  The apple sauce is my favorite dessert, and Mom made it especially for this occasion.  I feel very happy.

In this video I talk about how I did it, and how you can, too:

Mind Control book

Today I started reading the book I got for New Year.  It's about the Silva Mind Control method.  It shows you how to do amazing things, like have a better memory and read minds.  When I was 3 years old, I flushed a toy down the toilet, and my mom used this book to get money to pay the plumber to fix it.  She visualized money coming with the wind, and one windy day several $20 bills flew right to our doorstep.  Here's a link to this book on Amazon:
